Kathie Lynn Pettit

Kathie Lynn Pettit, born on January 30, 1956, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on October 9 2024 . She was a loving mother, devoted sister, and cherished grandmother, who brought joy and kindness to those around her.

Kathie's life was shaped by the love of family and her unwavering commitment to them. She is survived by her three daughters, Brook Quinn and her husband, Kyle, Amanda Bettencourt and her husband, Patrick, and Meredith Kemp and her husband, Devin. Each of her daughters held a special place in her heart, and she found immense pride in watching them grow into remarkable women. Kathie was also a doting grandmother to Kaiden Quinn, Drake Quinn, and Andrew Bettencourt, who illuminated her life with laughter and love.

In addition to her immediate family, Kathie is survived by her sister, Diane Deaton, and brother-in-law, Norman Deaton. They shared many cherished memories together that will be held dear in the hearts of those who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Garvin Strickland and Sarah Lucille Johnson Strickland, both of whom undoubtedly influenced the wonderful mother and sister she became. Kathie also mourned the loss of her sisters, Linda Finley and Vicki Arthur, whose absence she felt deeply.
