Katherine Weaver

Katherine Joanne Cherry Weaver, 80, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, January 8, 2015, at her home. Born February 23, 1934, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Ruby May Smith Cherry, and widow of George Thomas Weaver. She was of the Presbyterian faith. Survivors include her daughters, Rena Wright (Andy) of Enoree, SC, and Ruby Deborah Saunders (Jim) of Spartanburg; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Velma Cartee and Marlette Cherry, both of Spartanburg. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Tommy and Larry Weaver. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 11, 2015, in Silver Brook Cemetery, 1405 White St., Anderson, SC 29624. Flowers will be accepted.
