Karen Wright, 63, of 101 Gower Road, Spartanburg, died Friday, May 10, 2013, at her home. Born March 17, 1950, in Hickory, NC, she was a daughter of Cora Alice Wilson Bollinger and the late Rev. Lawrence Hugh Bollinger, and the widow of David Earl Wright. She was retired from Milliken Co. after 41 years of service and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Wright is survived by two sons, Christopher David Wright and Matthew Todd Wright, both of Spartanburg; two granddaughters, Tianna Marie Wright and Maureen Nicole Wright, both of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister, Jan Wright (Bobby) of Conover, NC; two brothers, Paul Bollinger (Cindie) of Thomasville, NC and Timothy Bollinger (Netra) of Rockwell, NC; a sister, Judy Brown (Rynn) of Richfield, NC; a brother, Nathan Bollinger (wife Pam) of Rockwell, NC; and her mother-in-law, Frankie Wright of Spartanburg. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at St. John's Lutheran Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM at the church, conducted by the Rev. Michael T. Shackelford. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Parish Life Center (PLC) St. John's Lutheran Church, 415 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
