Karen Galpin

Karen Louise Roberts Galpin, 66, of 345 Bryant Road, formerly of Jefferson, OH, died Friday, June 5, 2009, at White Oak Manor of Spartanburg. Born January 24, 1943, in Conneaut, OH, she was the daughter of the late James Dallas and Marie Schmidt Roberts. She was a member of Lamb of God Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband, Ken F. Galpin; three sons, David Strickland, Jr. of Ashtabula, OH, Bobby Strickland of Cortland, OH, and Stanley Strickland of Warren, OH; a sister, Genelle Eddy of Conneaut, OH; two brothers, Charles Allen Roberts of Rocky River, OH, and Jimmy Leland Roberts of Canal Winchester, OH; and five grandchildren, Stacy Strickland, Stanley Strickland, Jr., Brook Strickland, Jarred Strickland, and Andrea Strickland. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Lamb of God Lutheran Church conducted by the Rev. John Rickert. The family will receive friends following the service at the Church. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009, at Oakdale Cemetery in Jefferson, OH, under the direction of Fleming Funeral Home.
