June Smith

June Faith Johnston Smith, 86, of Spartanburg, SC died Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born October 20, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Dick and Elizabeth Alberta Goodyear Johnston and wife of the late Albert Canby Smith. A devoted member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, Mrs. Smith was retired from the church preschool. She was an animal lover, talented artist, and enthusiastic Girl Scout Leader for many years. She loved the beach and time with her beloved friends. Survivors include her children, Kim Whitt (James) of Spartanburg, SC, Scott Canby (Denise) of Gaffney, SC and Samantha Elliott (David) of Chesnee, SC; grandchildren, Kenneth Whitt of Spartanburg, SC, Katie Whitt of Albuquerque, NM, Devon Whitt of Columbia, SC, Ashley Whitt of Spartanburg, SC and Tabatha Garrett of Gaffney, SC and great-grandchildren, Bryce Garrett, Connor Garrett, Audrey Garrett, Kristina Garrett, Lillian Dicks and Cayden Dicks. Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Matthew's Episcopal Preschool Program, 101 St Matthews Lane, Spartanburg, SC 29301. The J. F.
