June Gooch

June Moore Gooch, 92, of Laurens, formerly of Spartanburg, died on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Martha Frank's Baptist Retirement Community. Born November 27, 1919, she was the widow of John Stribling Gooch Sr. and daughter of the late Blanche Moore Hendricks. Mrs. Gooch was the owner of Junes Beauty Salon for many years and a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. Surviving are her sons, John S. Gooch Jr. of Spartanburg, SC, and Wayman Michael Wilson of Atlanta, GA; six grandchildren, Twiggy Willard, Ashley Gooch Jenkins, Sarah Gooch Ledbetter, John S. Gooch, III, Pamela Reed, and Kim Wilson; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Patrick Moore. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 27, 2012, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Todd Lowe. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
