Mrs. June Oxley Garren, 93, of Lakewood Senior Living, in Boiling Springs died Friday, September 23, 2022. Born April 19, 1929, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Rosa Lee Lyles Oxley and was the wife of the late Edward C. Garren, Jr.
A former member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, she was blessed with unfailing love. Mrs. Garren was very active in church affairs, a true Christian believer whose life reflected her love of the Lord, her family, and others. Also, she was our best friend, selfless, loving, kind, witty, and always there with an encouraging word and a warm hug.
Survivors include her daughters, Cathy G. Baldwin of Boiling Springs, SC and Carolyn G. Grant of Rock Hill, SC; one granddaughter, Andrea Smith Durante (Chris) of Fort Mill, SC; two great granddaughters, Caroline and Emma Smith of Fort Mill, SC; her sister, Joyce Walden of Switzer, SC; along with several nieces and nephews. Being one of ten children, she was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
We would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Lakewood Senior Living and the Interim HealthCare Hospice Team.
