June Fant

June Ione Heffron Fant, 95, of Lyman, SC, died Friday, October 23, 2015 at Summit Hills. Born April 4, 1920 in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of the late Leo Edward and Gladys Williamson Heffron. Mrs. Fant was a former Eastern Airlines stewardess and retired as a school teacher after 31 years in Spartanburg District 5 school system. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Advent. Survivors include her husband, John "Jack" Roy Fant, Jr.; sons, J. Roy Fant III (Dian) of Atlanta, GA; Robert "Bo" Fant (Libby) of Inman, SC; and Thomas Williamson Fant (Juell) of Arab, AL; and grandson, Zachary E. Fant, of Morrisville, NC. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, October 26, 2015, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Steve McGehee. Visitation will follow at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Episcopal Church of the Advent Foundation, 141 Advent Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
