Juliet Hawkins

Juliet "Judy" Turner Hawkins, 90, of Spartanburg, died Monday, March 5, 2012. Born October 31, 1921, in Gaffney, SC, she was the widow of Bennett William Hawkins, and daughter of the late Calvin P. and Nannie Pettit Turner. She is survived by her nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hawkins was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, Gaffney. She was retired from Southern Bell, a member of Southern Bell Pioneers, The Order of the Eastern Star, and a graduate of Gaffney High School. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A reception and visitation will follow at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Complex. Memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Upstate SC Chapter, 37 Villa Road, Suite 109, Greenville, SC 29615; Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675; or a charity of one's choice.
