Julian Foster

Julian Harris Foster, 83, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, January 14, 2018, at his home. Born February 9, 1934, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Paul Benton Foster Sr. and Julia Anna Harris Foster. A 1956 graduate of Wofford College and U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Foster loved history and was an avid collector of clocks. He was the eastern regional vice president of Van Waters & Rogers Inc. (formerly Moreland McKesson), a member of First Baptist Church Spartanburg, and Wildlife Action. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Lenora Jordan Foster; children, Mark Edward Foster of New Orleans, LA and Julia Anna Foster of Spartanburg, SC; brother, John Edwin Foster (Hallie) of Spartanburg, SC; niece, Paula Foster Paul (James) of Spartanburg, SC; great-nephew, Jason Michael Paul (Jessie) of Fort Mill, SC; and great-great-nieces and nephew, Olivia, Joanna, and Samuel Paul. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Paul Benton Foster II; and sister, Marjorie Foster Jamison. DATE CHANGE: Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Friday, January 19, 2018, in the Parlor of First Baptist Church Spartanburg. Funeral services, with military rites, will follow at 3:00 PM, in Davis Chapel, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Donald J. Wilton and The Rev. Sal Barone. Burial will be private.
