Judy Sill

Judy Ann Lancaster Sill, 67, of 103 Aspen Court, Simpsonville, and formerly of Spartanburg, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010. Born April 22, 1942, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jonathan Z. and Julia Johnson Lancaster of Spartanburg. Mrs. Sill was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and worked in banking and insurance for forty years. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg and a current member of the First Baptist Church of Simpsonville. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and wife. She is survived by her husband, Mike Sill; son, Derek Sill and his wife Christie, and "Momma Judy's" adorable grandchildren, Jonathan Taylor Sill and Matthew Derek Sill of Greenville; two sisters, Mary Lynne Lancaster Mahaffey of Elon, NC, and Nancy Lancaster McDaniel of Spartanburg; and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Jeffory Brian Sill; and nephew, Brandon McDaniel. Visitation will be 12:30-1:45 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Randy Harling and the Rev. Robert C. Morgan. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 15 Oregon Street, Greenville, SC 29673; to Mobile Meals Service, P. O. Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304; or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family is at the home of her son, Derek Sill, 106 Royal Oak Road, Greenville, SC 29607.
