Judy Ann (Pauley) Miller, 73, of Inman, passed away on January 22, 2024, in Spartanburg. She was born on December 1, 1950, in Monrovia, California to her parents, the late James Henry Pauley and Mary Elizabeth Moore Young.
Judy's upbringing in Southern California near the ocean greatly influenced her appreciation for nature and outdoor activities. She found solace in the serene beauty of beaches, and she would often embark on camping trips to reconnect with the natural world. In the past twenty years, Judy had made South Carolina her home. Judy's dedication to her family was unparalleled; she exemplified what it meant to be a caring and loving woman. Her warm heart overflowed with love for everyone she encountered.
One of Judy's greatest passions was helping others, particularly children. She had an unwavering commitment to lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Her door was always open, welcoming all who needed a place of refuge. Countless individuals found her beautiful home, as she transformed it into a haven filled with love and acceptance. Throughout most of her life, Judy worked as a machinist. However, in later years she transitioned to serving others through home health care, once again caring for those in need.
She is survived by her daughter, Christina Louise McSwain; grandchildren, Tasia McSwain, Brenna McSwain, Jeramy McSwain, Joshua Seay, Sarah Ashlyn Seay, Rebekah Seay, and Gabrielle Seay; great grandchildren, Sarah, Vanessa, and Jonah. She loved them with all her heart.
Preceded in death by sisters, Linda, Susan and Barbara, and her brother, David.
"We will all miss her so very much; she was our glue to our family."
In our hearts you will always be able to remain beautiful, you're & free; you are the definition of brave, showing everyone the will of strength. In everything we do, your memory will live through. You taught us everything we needed to know, made everyone a home, someplace safe to go. In life we love you, in death we love you still, a grandmother, holds a place, no one else can fill. This isn't Goodbye, just a pause for us in this life, wherever you are, I pray you show us signs that things are going to be okay. Beautiful, you and free, I'll always remember you that way.
