Judy Compton

Judy Hensley Compton, 83, of Spartanburg, SC went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. Born in Gaffney, SC, she was the daughter of the late Reece and Ollie Hensley and was the wife of the late Roger L. Compton.

Judy graduated from Gaffney High School. After graduation, she began a career in banking that lasted over 40 years. She enjoyed the beach, Gamecock football, and above all, spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Lisa Clary Ward of San Antonio, TX, Broughton “Chip” M. Clary III (Beth) of Spartanburg, SC; and her brother, Don Hensley (Cathy) of Boiling Springs, NC; her beloved grandchildren, Michael Watford (Elliott) of San Antonio, TX, Zachary Clary and Hayden Clary, of Spartanburg, SC; and great granddaughter, Austen Watford of San Antonio, TX. She was predeceased by her brother, Dean Hensley.

A Celebration of Life will be 5:00 pm Friday, October 7, 2022 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Visitation will follow the service.
