Judith Greene

Judith Lessey Greene, 84, of Chesnee, died Thursday, October 1, 2009, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born March 16, 1925, in New Haven, CT, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Morcaldi Lessey and the wife of 62 years to the late Weyman Earl Greene. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, a Red Cross member, and a former member of the Dade County, FL, Civil Air Patrol. Survivors include two daughters, Sue Orgeron and husband Carl of Newborn, GA, and Eileen Reeves and husband Richard of Shelby, NC; a son, Steve Greene and wife Deborah of Boiling Springs; two grandsons, Michael Davis and wife Linda, and Robert Davis and wife Lucy; a granddaughter, Lora Massey; five great-grandchildren, Zackery Jameson, Sara Massey, Bobby Massey, Caleb Davis, and Amanda Bennerson; and a great-great-grandson, Brandon Bennerson. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2009, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. A Christian Burial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2009, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel conducted by the Rev. Michael McCafferty. Burial will be in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery on Parris Bridge Road. Memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
