Judith Blackwell

Judith Walton Blackwell, 78, of Spartanburg, SC, went peacefully to be with her Lord on Friday, August 12, 2016, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born September 29, 1937, in Inman, SC, she was the daughter of the late Horace Buck and Sarah Settle Blackwell. Judith was very involved and worked with many Charles Lea Center programs and was a member of Inman First Baptist Church. She was a sweet and kind person who loved her Lord, family and all animals. Survivors include her brother, Robert "Bob" Blackwell (Polly) of Spartanburg, SC; niece, Karen Smith (Jan) of Spartanburg, SC; nephew, Robert Lee Blackwell, Jr. (Denise) of Inman, SC; great nieces, Lori Coggins of Spartanburg, SC, and Hope Blackwell of Inman, SC; great nephews, Brad Coggins (Summer) of Campobello, SC, Jonathan Coggins of Spartanburg, SC, and Bryce Blackwell of Inman, SC and great-great nieces, Gracie and Karlee. Visitation will be held 2:00-2:45 PM Sunday, August 14, 2016, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM in the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Dr. Paul Moore. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 1451 Compton Bridge Rd., Inman, SC 29349.
