Juanita Skates

Juanita Louise Skates, 78, of Lyman, SC died Monday, August 22, 2021 at her home. Born January 29, 1943 in Cowpens, SC she was the daughter of the late Eula Mae Skates.

Juanita was a member of Freewill Baptist Church. She was a loving and caring person to everyone she met.

Survivors include her daughters, Teresa Jean Lawson and Barbara Sue Lawson, her son, Junior Burl Lawson (Laura), all of Spartanburg, SC, her brothers, Leroy Anders and John Anders (Brenda), seven grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Along with her mother, she was predeceased by her daughter, Nancy Ann Lawson, her brothers, James Anders and Bobby Dean Blackwell, stepfather, Jesse Blackwell, two grandchildren, Shane and Lauren and one great grandson, Matthew.

Visitation will be 11:00 – 11:45 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A funeral service will be at 12:00 noon, at the chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
