Juanita King Blanchett, 80, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, August 19, 2009. Born July 5, 1929, in Jonesville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Benton T. and Mossie Minnie Hanshell Lawson. She was retired from the Piedmont Steak House and of the Methodist faith. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Brooks and her husband John of Roebuck, and Vickie Blanton of Inman; a son, Mike King of Chesnee; two sisters, Bernice Thompson and Sue Hammett, both of Spartanburg; a brother, Burl Lawson of Honea Path; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2009, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel conducted by Pastor Mitchell Edge. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. The family is at the home of Vickie Blanton, 102 Beechwood Drive, Inman.
