Joyce Wilkins

Joyce Hodge Wilkins, 76, of Cowpens, SC died Sunday, July 30, 2017 at RoseCrest. Born October 20, 1940 in Cowpens, she was the daughter of the late John Wright and Nell Moss Hodge. Joyce received a master's degree in education from Converse College. She was a retired School teacher with District 3 (Spartanburg) after 30 years of service. She was a former Sunday School teacher, Choir member, and was devoted to her Lord and family, and a great caregiver to others. She was a member of Cowpens First Baptist Church. Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Eddie Wilkins; daughter, Melissa Wilkins and her husband, Jay Still of Inman, SC; son, Rev. Wayne Wilkins and his wife, Karen of Orlando, FL; grandson, Hunter Wilkins, granddaughter, Kalee Wilkins, twin granddaughters, Edie and Ellie Wilkins, and grandson, Eddie Wayne Wilkins, III, all of Orlando, FL. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Jack Hodge and Bobby Hodge. Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 2, 2017 in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens, 175 Cemetery Street, Cowpens, SC 29330, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Bill Westafer and the Rev. Ronell Owensby. Visitation will follow at 12:30 - 1:30 PM at Cowpens First Baptist Church Sanctuary, 108 West Church Street, Cowpens, SC 29330.
