Joyce Fleck

Joyce Knox Fleck, 81, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, April 28, 2014, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills-Landrum. Born April 28, 1933, in Goldsboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late Charles Vernon and Minnie Inez Johnson Knox and widow of Charles "Chick" Fleck. A graduate of USC-Spartanburg, Mrs. Fleck retired from nursing at the Whitten Center and was also a member of Mary Montgomery Chapter #231 Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are her sons, David Ellis of Atlanta, GA, and Dewey Ellis Jr. (Sharon) of Easley, SC. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, May 2, 2014, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by Order of the Eastern Star. Visitation will follow at the graveside. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 260 Fairwinds Drive, Landrum, SC 29356.
