Joyce Farmer

Joyce Belisle Farmer, 72, of Inman, SC, died Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born August 14, 1943, in River Rouge, MI, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Vaulrath Belisle. Mrs. Farmer retired as secretary from Airport Community Schools. She attended First Baptist Spartanburg and enjoyed knitting, making ceramics, and cooking for her family. Survivors include her husband, Arthur Farmer; children, Tracy Farmer and Greg Farmer (Jing), all of Spartanburg, SC, Tim Farmer of Rives Junction, MI, and Stephen Farmer (Melissa) of Newport, MI; grandchildren, Allana Farmer, Angelique Farmer, Michael Roberts, Katherine Ruttan, Seth Farmer, and Elisabeth Farmer; and Mark Swiler. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 3, 2016, at Eastside Baptist Church, 1850 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Mike Royal. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 119 Eastwood Circle, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
