Joyce Dianne Campbell

Joyce Dianne Walker Campbell, of Spartanburg, SC, died on Sunday evening, November 5, 2023, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, with her family by her side.  She was a daughter of the late Nathaniel Thomas “N.T.” Walker and Darlee Jennings Walker.

“Dianne” as she was known to her friends, and Nana to her grandchildren, was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.

She worked for 25 years as a seamstress with Spartan Undies and when she retired she continued her career as Nana to her three grandchildren.  Dianne loved her church and her church family and could always be found sharing her time in small groups and providing meals for many ministries and events in the church.

In addition to her husband, Clay, Dianne is survived by her daughter, Tina (John) Thomas of Roebuck, three grandchildren; Rachael (Matt) Thomas Barton, Reagan Thomas and Benjamen (Julia Rose) Thomas, a great grandson, James Campbell Barton, sister, Denise W. Jolley and several nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her brother, Jerry Walker.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 12:45 pm, Thursday, November 9, 2023, at North Spartanburg Church of God, 2069 Chesnee Highway, Spartanburg, SC 29303.  Dianne’s funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm in the church with Reverend Brandon Ard and Reverend Kevin Hand officiating.  Burial will immediately follow the funeral at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
