Joy Corn

Joy Ann Gunter Corn, 79, of Woodruff, SC, died Monday, December 19, 2016, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born March 19, 1937, in Branford, FL, she was the daughter of the late Aaron S. and Quida Wood Gunter. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Johnny B. Corn Sr.; sons, Johnny B. Corn Jr., Donnie Lee Corn, Ronnie Wayne Corn, and Tommy Glenn Corn; grandchildren, Laura, Katie, Molly, Ashton, Austin, David, Matthew, and Emma; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Peacock. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a grandson, Lee Aaron Corn; brother, Jack Gunter; and sister, Dot Gunter. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 22, 2016, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316, by the Rev. Ralph Jett. Visitation will follow the service at the Chapel. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens, 4081 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
