Josette Ann Davison, 94, of Spartanburg, SC died Thursday, January 20, 2022 at home. Born August 19, 1927 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Reiley Bert and Mildred Grossman Williams and was the wife of the late Dexter Davison.
Josette grew up in Pennsville and Zanesville, Ohio. In the 1960’s Josette was a greeting card artist and fashion artist in Cincinnati and Columbus, OH. In the mid 1960’s and late 1970’s, she was an art teacher for St. Paul’s Catholic School and Spartanburg Day Schools in Spartanburg, SC. From that point on, she became a freelance artist.
An avid writer and teaching art in the summer to underprivileged children in Pineapple, Alabama. Josette loved her bridge club “girls.”
Survivors include her children, Dexter Davison (Gina) and Bethany Davison (Steve), her grandchildren, Scout Davison (Jessie) and Yakob Davison and Cathey Davison. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Laurie Davison.
