Josephine "Jo" C. Curcio, 86, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born January 1, 1928, in Keyser WV, she was the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Mary Circosta Calemine, and widow of Enrico Vincent Curcio. Mrs. Curcio was a member of the Catholic Church of Jesus Our Risen Savior and a member of St. Michael the Archangel Fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order. Her hobbies included: crewel, cross stitching, knitting, reading and puzzles. Her special interests included: Jesus, Light of the World Prayer Group, Bible study, retreats, book clubs and eating out. Survivors include a son, Rick Vincent Curcio of Woodruff, SC; a sister, Phyl Cirillo of Homosassa, FL; and a brother, Larry J. Calemine of Westhills, CA. She was predeceased by two sons, Thomas Lawrence Curcio and James Gerard Curcio; and a daughter, Cara Lynne Curcio. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, August 3, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A worship service will be held at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted 9:30 AM Monday, August 4, 2014, at Catholic Church of Jesus Our Risen Savior, 2575 Reidville Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29301, by the Rev. Frank Palmieri, CRM. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Church Building Fund, Catholic Church of Jesus Our Risen Savior, 2575 Reidville Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29301.
