Josephine Brown

Josephine Pearson Brown, 86, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, July 14, 2016, in Rock Hill, SC. Born March 9, 1930, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Eura Asbury and Lennie Harris Pearson and widow of Fred Franklin Brown. Mrs. Brown was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She retired from John Dritz Inc. and Fred Brown Tax & Accounting. Survivors include her daughter Jackie Chumley (Niles) of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren, Jill, Nick, and Chessie; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, David Pearson of Boiling Springs, SC; and special friend, Rusty Stephens of Columbia, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Fred Morris Brown; and brother, James Luke Pearson. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 17, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by the Rev. Glenn Rusher. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
