Joseph Branson Stafford, 81, of Greenville, SC died Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Southern Oaks Assisted Living Facility. Born October 28, 1939 in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Walter Branson and Margaret Virginia Cook Stafford. A U.S. Army National Guard veteran, Mr. Stafford retired as a family counselor with Floyd Cemeteries after 15 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his daughters, Karyn Matteson (Randy) of Taylors, SC and Kathy Layne Rhodes of Taylors, SC; grandchildren, Cole Matteson and Savannah M. Clark (Billy) of Easley, SC; sisters, Georgia Ann Whaley of Byhalia, MS, and Pamela Wilson of Greer, SC. Along with his parents, he was also predeceased by his sister, Joyce Goodnough and four brothers, Jess, Bill, Jack, and Sam Stafford. No service is scheduled at this time.
