Joseph Turner

Joseph Ross Turner, 82, of Drayton, SC, died Sunday, June 5, 2022 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice House. Born October 31, 1939, in Startex, SC he was the son of the late John Harley and Lucy Howe Turner. He was married to the late Myra Jean Turner.

Ross worked for many years at Butte Knit and retired from American Fast Print. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a fan of NASCAR. Ross also served in the United States Navy.

Survivors include his sons: Bobby Joe Turner (Carol) of Inman, SC, Roger Turner (Lisa) of Tryon, NC, and Scott Turner (Heather) of Inman, SC; Grandchildren: Jessica, Jenna and Isaiah; 9 Great-grandchildren; and siblings David Turner of Lyman, SC and Faith Douglas of Moore, SC.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens, 4081 Highway 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316 conducted by Rev. Preston Edmonds.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice House, 686 Jeff Davis Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
