Joseph Dwayne Murphy entered into his final resting place to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 3, 2009, at the age of 41, due to a short illness. Dwayne was born on January 9, 1968, in Dade City, FL. He was a member of United Baptist Church of Spartanburg. Dwayne is survived by his partner, Michael Edwards of the home, and his 8 year old daughter, Hannah Ivey Murphy of Lakeland, FL; his parents, Richard and Liz Murphy of Martinez, GA; a sister, Cindy Sivik and husband Tom of Hilliard, FL; and nieces, Nicole Rich, Callie Sivik, and Trina Sivik. He was predeceased by a brother, Ryk Murphy. Along with his "Special" Mom and Dad, Douglas and Sandra Edwards; their son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Linda Edwards and their son, David all of Spartanburg; and many loving friends. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2009, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Cryptside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2009, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum conducted by the Rev. Jack Weaver.
