Joseph Mason, Jr.

Joseph Barry Mason, Jr., 23, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at his home. Born March 6, 1987, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Joseph Barry and Cathy Toms Mason. He was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, and a former member of Young Life. Surviving in addition to his parents are two brothers, Matthew T. Mason and David F. Mason, a sister, Sarah M. Mason, and his maternal grandparents, Nathaniel C. II and Rebecca Hartis Toms, all of Spartanburg. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Walter B. and Ophelia F. Mason. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Westminster Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. Steve Wise. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jeffrie Berline, Alex Cummings, Nathan Erwin, Davidson Williams, Chandler Johnston, Hall Todd, David White, Will Conner, Jordan Skellie, Camden Shields, Drew Kirkpatrick, and Marcus Grout.
