Joseph Maple Jr.

Joseph James "Joe" Maple Jr., 91, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, December 23, 2018, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born April 24, 1927 in Warren, OH, he was the son of the late Joseph James Maple Sr. and Frieda Hughes Maple. A U. S. Navy Veteran of WWII and Korea, Mr. Maple attended Wayne State University and was the owner of Suburban Technical Sales. He was a member of the Master Gardner's Club, Men's Garden Club, and Spartanburg New Comers Club and a member of First Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Caroline Maple; nephew, Dale Maple of Southfield, MI and niece, Regina Austin of Garden City, MI. Visitation will be from 10:00-10:45 AM, Saturday, December 29, 2018, at First Presbyterian Church, 393 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302, with services following at 11:00 AM, conducted by The Rev. Joanne Hull.
