Joseph Fay

Joseph "Joe" Shannon Fay, 55, of Spartanburg, died Monday, August 22, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born October 14, 1955, in Richmond, VA, he was the son of Robert C. and Margaret Shannon Fay of Spartanburg. Mr. Fay was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He attended St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School and Spartanburg High School. In addition to his parents, survivors include his four brothers, Robert Fay, Jr. (Joanne) of Atlanta, GA, Patrick Fay (Joyce) of Cary, NC, Michael Fay (Wendy) of Atlanta, GA, and Timothy Fay (Thanh) of Phoenix, AZ; his sister, Mary Stockham (Erik) of Shelby, NC; and nine loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 AM Saturday, August 27, 2011, in St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM, conducted by the Rev. Timothy Gahan. A private family burial will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church Building Fund, 161 N Dean St, Spartanburg, SC 29302; or the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
