Jorge Hernandez

Jorge "YoYo" Hernandez, 53, of Moore, SC, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born April 22, 1960, in Havana, Cuba, he was the son of the late Oscar and Maria Gonzalez Hernandez. As a pianist/composer, Mr. Hernandez's passion for music and talents led him to many competitions for his compositions of symphonic pieces. Survivors include his sister, Mara Larin (George) of Moore, SC; brother, Oscar Hernandez (Gail) of Rochelle Park, NJ; and nieces and nephews, Maria Barlotta, Michael James Hernandez, and Christopher Elguea. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 PM Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at the Catholic Church of Jesus Our Risen Savior, 2575 Reidville Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29301, by the Rev.
