Jordan "Dan" Brock

Jordan “Dan” Burton Brock, of Spartanburg, SC died Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at RoseCrest Retirement Community. He was born in St. Louis, MO, to Rudolph Gabriel Brock and Marjorie Todd Brock.

A graduate of the University of Missouri-Rolla with a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1973, Mr. Brock moved to Spartanburg in 1982. He was certified as a Professional Engineer in South Carolina in 2001 and retired from Day & Zimmerman Inc. Mr. Brock was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, where he served on various committees, including Council President and Lutheran Men President.

Survivors include his loving wife, Debra L. Brock; sons, Matthew Brock (Michelle) and Timothy Brock (Hillary) all of Spartanburg, SC; daughter, Mary Brock (Andrew Cumming) of Maynard, MA; grandchildren, Carson and Hunter Brock, Sadie, Bennett and Cooper Brock, and River and Stellan Cumming, and brothers, Rudolph Brock of St. Louis, MO and Victor Brock of Jackson, MO.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, conducted by The Rev. Michael Shackelford and The Rev. Erin Morris. Visitation will follow the service in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 415 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
