Jones Morrow

Jones Thomas "Tommy" Morrow, 81, of Moore, SC, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 20, 2014. A native of Spartanburg County, reared in White Stone, SC, he was born January 3, 1933, the son of the late John Jones and Reba Amick Morrow, and husband of the late Margaret Starnes Morrow. Mr. Morrow served honorably in the U. S. Army from 1957-1959. During his Army service he was stationed at the Seventh Division Army Headquarters in Germany. Tommy retired from Norfolk-Southern Railway in January 1992 after 33 years of service. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Survivors include his daughters, Cindy (David) Sarratt of St. Matthews, SC and Rev. Sherry (Brian) Wood of Spartanburg, SC; son, Chris (Lori Anne) Morrow of Moore, SC; grandchildren, Andrea Sarratt (Pete) Antonacci of Orange Park, FL; Graham, John, and Martin Morrow of Moore, SC; and great-grandson, Joe Antonacci of Orange Park, FL. He was predeceased by his brother, John Amick Morrow. Visitation will be 3:00-4:30 Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 5:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Bobo. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 626 Norwood Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302; or Spartanburg Regional Home Health, 120 Heywood Ave. Suite 301, Spartanburg, SC 29302. Tommy's family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to caregivers, Sharon Hardy, Debra Wynn, and Jamica Mayes, Spartanburg Regional Hospice, and his caring and attentive friends and neighbors.
