Jonelle Bradford

September 19, 1925 — September 4, 2015

Jonelle S. Bradford, 90, died Friday, September 4, 2015, following a lengthy illness with Alzheimer's disease. She was the daughter of the late James Harvey and Faye Brown Shands of Pauline and the wife of Randolph Bradford of Pauline. Mrs. Bradford served as receptionist and artist in her husband's studio, Bradford Photography, and later as administrative secretary of the American Society of Photographers, while her husband was Executive Director. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg, where she was a teacher-coordinator in the nursery department for 50 years. She helped deliver Mobile Meals for a number of years and served as Election Poll Manager at Walnut Grove and L.E. Gable Middle School. Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Dr. William Bradford of Louisville, KY; Bertram Bradford of Charlotte, NC; and Sloan Bradford (Shannon) of Spartanburg, SC; daughter, Lisa B. Hewitt (Steve) of Winter Garden, FL; ten grandchildren, Sloan of New York City, NY; Ashley of Charlotte, NC; Megan of Madrid, Spain; Brad Hewitt (Nissa) of Boston, MA; Michael Hewitt of Winter Garden, FL; Dr. Brown Bradford (Holli) of Columbia, SC; Brennan Bradford of Greer, SC; Anna Grace Bradford of Spartanburg, SC; Lindsay Abarotin (Jordan) and Lori Bradford of Greer, SC; and three great grandchildren, Olivia Sloane, Alaina Grace, and Posy Sunshine. Besides her parents, Mrs. Bradford was predeceased by a sister, Emily S. Hawthorne of Abbeville. Family will greet friends at 1:00 PM Sunday, September 6, 2015, in the Parlor of First Baptist Church, 250 East Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. Services will follow at 2:00 PM in the E. Gibson Davis Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Don Wilton, the Rev. Bob Morgan, and the Rev. Bob Neely. A private committal service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. Sam Hawthorne. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Mobile Meals, P.O.
