John Thomas "Tommy" Nunn, Jr.

John Thomas “Tommy” Nunn, Jr., 78, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away February 13, 2023. Born April 22, 1944, he was the son of the late John Thomas Nunn, Sr. and Ruth Nunn.

Tommy was a member of the Army Reserves and the Spartan Masonic Lodge 70. He played guitar with the Brite Lites, a local Spartanburg band. He graduated from Wofford College in 1969 and began his career with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Upon his retirement from Liberty Mutual, he was able to fully pursue his hobbies consisting of fishing and collecting…everything. He loved nothing more than a Coke and a Little Debbie, was always ready to share a smile, and never met a stranger.

He’s survived by his children, Olivia Boykin and John Nunn; grandchildren, Kendall Boykin, Sawyer Boykin, and Kellan Nunn; brother, Eddie (the late Judy) Nunn; nephew, Jason (Portia) Nunn; and their four children Elijah, Bella, Eliza, and Elli.
