Johnnie Mckinney Jr.

Johnnie Franklin McKinney Jr., 59, of Spartanburg, SC, husband of Cynthia Coffey McKinney, passed away April 18, 2021, at his home. Born on July 29, 1961, in Lynchburg, VA, he was the son of Robin Rawlings McKinney Torbert and the late Johnnie F. McKinney Sr.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his son, Michael Andrew McKinney and wife, Candace and expected grandchild, Daniel Lee McKinney; daughter, Chelsea Taylor McKinney; brothers, John Torbert Jr. and Troy McKinney; stepfather, John Torbert Sr; and uncle, Joseph McKinney and wife, Ava.

A celebration of life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 355 Dyson Road, Amherst, VA 24521.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
