John Sheppard

Johnathan Ray Sheppard, 50, of Cowpens, died Monday, December 21, 2009, in Gaffney. Born November 28, 1959, in Lancaster, SC, he was the son of Peggy Joyce Bowers Blackman of Kershaw and the late Rev. Johnny Ray Sheppard. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Cowpens, the former owner and operator of Faith Small Engine in Cowpens, and an avid motorcyclist. Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife, Kim Blackwell Sheppard; a daughter, Nikki Sheppard; three sons, Ryan Sheppard, Daniel Sheppard, and Johnny Sheppard; a step-son, Dana Blackwell; two brothers, Robert L. Sheppard of Williamston, and Timothy P. Sheppard of Monroe, NC; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Mark A. Sheppard; and a sister, Dale L. Sheppard. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Dr. Robert W.
