John Robinson

John D. Robinson, 81, of Pacolet, SC, died Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born July 4, 1935 in Union County, SC, he was the son of the late George Washington Robinson, Sr. and Marie Horne Robinson. He was the widower of Vivian Irene Webb Robinson. John was a machinist for Master Machine Works. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching NASCAR and loved to garden and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a son, John Ricky Robinson (fiancé Nina) of Spartanburg; granddaughter (who was raised in the home), Angel Robinson West (Kenny); grandsons, Ricky Robinson (Kayla) and Bradley Robinson; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Rachael Lemons (Ned) and Gail Glass (Frank), all of Pacolet; and Peggy Sue Dunn (Art) of Inman. Along with his wife, he was also predeceased by sisters, Idell Robinson, Margaret Buice, Quanita Martin; and brothers, George Robinson, Jr. and Larry Robinson. Visitation will be 2:00 - 2:45 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Drive, Pacolet, SC 29372. Funeral service will be 3:00 PM at the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dennis Tessnier. Burial will follow in the Pacolet Memorial Gardens, 141 Memorial Drive, Pacolet, SC 29372. The family will be at their respective homes.
