John Nicholson

John Francis Nicholson, 92, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at The Waterford at Dillon Pointe. Born January 30, 1927, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Francis and Geni Gibson Nicholson. A U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Nicholson was a member of Pacolet Mills Baptist Church and retired from Oops Company. Survivors include his nieces and nephews, Donna Dillard of Pacolet, SC, Doug Patterson of White Stone, SC, Ricky Patterson of Boiling Springs, SC, and Karen Morrow of Lyman, SC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Betty Nicholson Morrow, Doris Nicholson Patterson, and Hattie Nicholson Mickels. A graveside service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Saturday, August 3, 2019, in White Rose Cemetery, 1156 Sunny Acres Rd., Pacolet, SC 29372, by The Rev. James S. McDowell.
