John Moore

John Kendall Moore, 65, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at his home. Born December 31, 1945, in Cherokee County, SC, he was the son of the late Ellis and Ann Blanchard Moore. Mr. Moore was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was of the Baptist faith. He worked for many years at International Wire and retired from Alcoa Manufacturing. He was a loving father and grandfather. Survivors include his beloved wife of 36 years, Wanda Parsons Moore; sons, Kevin Moore of Spartanburg and Keith Moore and wife Kerri Austin of Inman; grandson, Jonathan Moore of Spartanburg; granddaughters, Emily, Kaitlyn, and Jessica Moore, all of Spartanburg; a brother, Donnie Moore of Boiling Springs, SC; and sisters, Sheryl Moore of Spartanburg and Vicky Hill of Gaffney. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, August 12, 2011, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Kenneth Cash.
