John Mitchell

John Mitchell, 87, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born July 2, 1922, in Roebuck, SC, he was the son of the late John Wesley and Daisy Weir Mitchell. He was a retired electrician and a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Jennie Randall Mitchell, and was predeceased by three brothers, Roy, Walter, and Clarence Mitchell. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2010, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Dr. Tim Williams. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. The family is at their respective homes.
