John Grizzle

John Mason Grizzle, 64, of 245 Pine Hills Road, Woodruff, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at his home. Born January 3, 1947, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late James Otis and Hazle H. Grizzle, and the loving husband, for 12 years, of his wife Jean Price Grizzle, of the home. John was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the NRA, and a member of Moore Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, survivors include three daughters, Kim Skates of Spartanburg, Traci Cline of Moore, and Kary Farson of Spartanburg; a son, Quinton Burchard of NC; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, James Grizzle of Moore; three sisters, Mary Ann Seay of Moore, Nancy Wallace of Spartanburg, and Patsy Clarkson of Jacksonville, FL; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service, with military rites, will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 18, 2011, in Westwood Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Richard Peters. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
