John Crocker Sr.

John Herbert Crocker Sr., 81, of Spartanburg, SC died Monday, February 1, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born June 17, 1939 in Woodruff, SC, he was the son of the late John Harry and Thelma Ferguson Crocker. A member of the South Carolina National Guard for 6 years, Mr. Crocker attended The Citadel and Clemson University and graduated from Spartanburg Methodist College. He was a retired Analytical Lab Supervisor for 25 years with Hoeschst Celanese. A faithful husband, father, and grandfather, he loved most sharing and teaching his grandchildren about the outdoors and the life lessons taught. John was a member of numerous hunting and fishing clubs. He will be missed by his many outdoor buddies. John was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Martha Bell Crocker; daughter, Jennifer Lynn Crocker, and six grandchildren.
