John Crews

John William Crews, 52, of 4331 Conrad Drive, died Sunday, June 21, 2009, at his home. Born July 20, 1956, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Walter and Nancy Crews. He was employed at The Beacon Drive-In and attended First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. Survivors include his wife, Tricia Blanton Crews; two sons and two daughters, Josh Edwards, Taylor Edwards, Tiffany Edwards, all of the home, and Starr Gibson of Greenville; a brother, Tom Crews; and three sisters, Mary Ann Bethea, Nancy Hendrix, and Elizabeth Wyckoff. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2009, in Davis Chapel at the First Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Bill Adams. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the John W. Crews Memorial Fund, P. O. Drawer 1530, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
