John Coker

John Sanford "Sandy" Coker, 60, of Yonkers, NY, died Thursday, June 21, 2018 at St. John's Riverside Hospital after a brief illness. Born February 27, 1958 he was the son of the late Estelle Benfield Coker and Dr. Walter G. Coker, Jr. and stepson of Linda Reynolds Coker. Sandy attended Spartanburg High School and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Computer Programming. Survivors include a sister, Mary Coker Grahl of Athens, GA; a nephew, Robert Lee Grahl of Athens, GA; a brother-in-law, Robert Lone "Bob" Grahl of Augusta, GA; and a half-sister, Carrie Amelia "Amy" Coker Pascoe of Spartanburg, SC. Sandy was predeceased by a brother, Walter George "Rusty" Coker, III. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to Hatcher Garden and Woodland Preserve, PO Box 2337, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
