John Clark

John William Clark, 73, of Lake Bowen, SC, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015, at his home. Born June 17, 1942, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Regis V. and Margaret Malady Clark. A U. S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, Mr. Clark enjoyed golf and travel. He received his BS Degree from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA and was a retired accountant. He was a member of Jesus, Our Risen Savior Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Carole Ann Bachner Clark; children, Kimberly Hickman (John) of Princeton, WV, John A. Clark of Spartanburg, SC, Patrick Clark (Debbie) of South Lyon, MI, Krista Jones (Russell) of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Jack Hickman, Will Hickman, Katherine Hickman, Joshua Clark, Lauren Clark, Emma Clark, Maggie Jones, Lucy Jones, Liam Jones, and Eliza Jones; sister, Kathleen Martys of Morgantown, WV; and brothers, Robert Clark of Howell, MI and Thomas Clark of Huntsville, AL. He was predeceased by a brother, Edward Clark. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, October 1, 2015, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12:00 noon Friday, October 2, 2015, at Jesus, Our Risen Savior Catholic Church, 2575 Reidville Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29301, by the Rev. Edgardo Enverga. Burial will be in Westwood Memorial Gardens, 6101 Reidville Rd., Moore, SC 29369. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke's Free Medical Clinic, PO Box 3466, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
