John Morrow

John Charles Morrow, 83, of 4835 North Blackstock Road, died Sunday, June 21, 2009, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born November 26, 1925, in Greer, SC, he was the son of the late Robert T. and Ocie Messer Morrow. He was retired from Phillips Petroleum, a Mason and member of Arcadia Masonic Lodge #285, member of Powell Presbyterian Church, and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Helen R. Morrow; two daughters, Brenda Wright and her husband Tom, Marsha Lawson and her husband Pete, a son, Michael Morrow and his wife Kim, eight grandchildren, Christopher Wright and his wife Kristi, Tommy Wright, Todd Lawson and his wife Hope, Shane Lawson and his wife Karen, Brent Morrow and his wife Dimitra, Amy Echols and her husband Kristian, Lee Ann Sullivan and her husband Steve, and Randy Morrow and his wife Crystal, a brother, Frank Morrow, a sister, Hazel Foster, and fifteen great-grandchildren, all of Spartanburg. He was predeceased by a son, Dennis Morrow; and a brother, Willard B. Morrow. Graveside services with military rites by the SC State Guard Honors Team will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at Fort Prince Memorial Gardens conducted by Dr. E. Jennings Putnam.
