John Butkovich Jr.

John Frank Butkovich Jr., 88, of 316 Lake Forest Drive, Spartanburg, died Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born May 24, 1923, in Pueblo, CO, he was the son of the late John Frank Butkovich Sr. and Catherine Skender Butkovich. He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Vivian Lancaster Butkovich. Mr. Butkovich was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He was a member of Donelson Church of Christ, Nashville, TN, a barber, avid golfer, and enjoyed outdoor activities. Survivors include his cherished daughter, Cheryl Marquis and husband Vance of Spartanburg; grandson, Alan Marquis and wife Julia of Austin, TX; great-granddaughter, Lily Marquis; brother, Edward Butkovich and wife Juanita of Pueblo, CO; sister, Mary Toreson of Sacramento, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5:00-6:00 PM Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services and burial will be conducted at a later date in Old Hickory, TN.
