John Bragg

John Horace Bragg, 80, of Roebuck, SC, died Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital-Spartanburg. Born February 4, 1937, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late John and Marion Walker Bragg. A U. S. Air Force veteran, Mr. Bragg was the owner-operator of Bragg TV Service for many years and retired from MEMC. He loved to read and garden and also loved his kitty cat, Sam. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church as well as Westview-Fairforest Fire Department and Rescue 3 for many years. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Joyce Mathis Bragg; children, John Robert Bragg (Evie) of Roebuck, SC and Lisa B. Gayle (Chris) of Standarsville, VA; grandchildren, Michael, Angie, John David, Haley, Misty, and Michelle; great-grandchildren, Peyton and Bryson; sister, Patricia B. Wood of Baltimore, MD; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sons, James Lloyd Bragg and Stephen Lynn Bragg; and brother, Tom G. Bragg. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Bethlehem Baptist Church. A service honoring his memory will follow at 2:00 PM conducted by the Rev. Joe Burnett and the Rev. James L.
